Barcelona sporting director Deco has confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain made an approach for teenage sensation Lamine Yamal last summer, following the winger’s explosive emergence for the Catalan

The figure had been previously floated by Barcelona president Joan Laporta. French media, including L'Equipe, had denied PSG’s interest at the time. Yamal, who turned 17 during EURO 2024, was already a historic name by the last year. He created several records; he became the youngest scorer for both Barcelona and Spain.

Lamine Yamal is close to signing a massive new deal with FC Barcelona. According to reports, the 17-year-old will earn €30 million gross per season, with an annual €10 million renewal bonus. His net salary would be around €20 million.
