Barcelona got their hands on the league trophy on Sunday night following their 3-2 defeat by Villarreal at Montjuic. Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez were both on target for the hosts but it wasn’t enough for victory as Villarreal managed to grab all three points.

Barcelona slumped to a 3-2 home defeat to Villarreal in their first game after being crowned LaLiga champions.

As expected and previously mentioned, Barcelona follow in second place with 28 La Liga titles. The two bitter rivals and Spanish soccer heavyweights have dominated La Liga for most of its existence. The two clubs have won La Liga in all but five seasons since the turn of the century.
