Paul Reubens spent more than 40 hours discussing his life and career in the months before his 2023 death for the new two-part HBO documentary 'Pee-wee as Himself'.

With more than 40 hours of interviews, director Matt Wolf has fashioned a compelling, three-hour-plus documentary that still leaves questions unanswered.

“Pee-wee as Himself” premieres tonight, May 23, at 8 p.m. ET. The two-part documentary will air back-to-back on HBO linear premium cable channel with the episodes dropping on the Max streaming service at the same time.
