Fire crews are responding to a new wildfire burning near Heppsie Mountain. Reconnaissance aircraft reported the fire was burning mid-slope on a northwest-facing aspect.
As of this morning, the fire is estimated at approximately 500 acres with 0% containment. The fire was first reported late Tuesday morning and remains under investigation.
