Steph Curry’s dad is joining Amazon Prime’s NBA coverage beginning in 2025-26, NJ Advance Media has confirmed. Dell Curry, a former first-round NBA pick who now serves as the Charlotte Hornets’ color commentator, will be part of the Amazon team for “some games,” a person with direct knowledge said.
Steph Curry is still in the throes of his legendary NBA career, but Amazon Prime Video appears to be angling to bring the superstar on as an analyst once he retires.
With its first season of NBA broadcasting on tap this fall, Amazon has been busy gathering its Infinity Stones of notable basketball figures to serve its coverage. Among others, legendary dunker Blake Griffin will be part of Amazon's studio coverage.
Although the longtime TV color analyst has been added to Amazon Prime’s new broadcast team for the 2025-26 season, Curry won’t be leaving his current position with the organization. Curry will remain the team’s main analyst for FanDuel Sports Southeast for the vast majority of games.
